This week I mostly worked on making a few bowls for the Empty Bowl Project. I trimmed the bowl I had made the previous week on the wheel. This was pretty difficult and I was afraid I was going to mess it up like I did the last one so I didn't do too much altering. The pinch pot I had made last week was ready to be painted so I did that as well. I really like how that came out. The texture is just what I was going for and the color with the speckles in it makes it look even more interesting. The third bowl I worked on this week was made out of tissue paper. All I did was glue torn up pieces of paper onto a Styrofoam bowl and took the paper off once it dried. I used three different shades of green so I was very happy with the colors and look of the bowl. This week I also finished my sgraffito plate. We dipped the plate in glaze and fired it. I think it turned out really cool. The last thing I did this week was start paper mache-ing my globe. I realized that this may not have been the best idea because now I can't really tell where the continents were and which ones they are.
